Pamela Sukhum artist was a Cardiovascular Health and Electrophysiology researcher before she sidetracked this to follow her dreams of becoming a painter. She left the biomedical field in early 2003 and settled on her Minneapolis studio which acted as the starting point. When starting off, she barely had enough money to pay rent but that did not deter her. By 2008, Pamela Sukhum collections were featured in the best North American art galleries bringing into the market a new generation of art. She claimed her space in the art world rising to be one of the most powerful artists today. In 2007, at the ArtExpo New York, her work was recognized and she was awarded the Director’s Choice Award. This was a great step in her career as it not only enhanced the popularity of her paintings but also motivated her to forge forward. She has sharpened her skills and her creativity by studying in Thailand, Tibet, Africa, South America and Nepal. She is an avid traveller who believes that what words cannot explain, a painting does perfectly. According to Pamela Sukhum artist, she opens herself to experience as a way of divinity remembrance. Recently, she launched the â€Beautiful Project’, a project in which she teaches child refugees to use art as fun and as a means to transform their lives. The project kicked off in Africa, at the Central Africa Republic and Chad border in the Gondje refugee camp. The project aims to help the children realize their art skills while young and use it to better their lives beyond the refugee camps.


Most of her paintings depict nature; trees, flowers, bushes and many more. These are features that she comes across in her many journeys.
